The Marin County coast south to Monterey is expected to see wave heights of about 2 feet beginning at around 8 a.m.

It's happening right now.  Im watching KION.  Camera at Cowell's.  WAter was on the rocks, then receded about 100 yards, then came back in.

No destructive surge, but still incredible.

Pix of Moss Landing bridge looks like a river heading out.

Just talked to Captain Jimmy.  He's at the upper harbor, says it's "surgy" but no problems yet.  He chose not to take his boat out to open ocean, pretty calm about it all.

We are not seeing any big waves t all, more like high tide/low tide on a time-elapsed video.  all the way out and most the way back in within 15-20 minutes.

Fascinating....

Allen

Best part are the shots of Cowell's.  Four or five surfers out there despite all the warnings.

A bunch of boats are loose at the harbor now.....some sunk.....Might be the worst damage on the coast from the tsunami.

Well, it was low tide like 30mins ago, and just became hide tide.  Other than that and some surgy water.  No biggie.

I was watching it roll across  Japan in real time. It was just crazy. People trying to drive away from it getting sucked up an under the water and debris. Amazing power. Super fast and really no way to get out of the way when it was coming. I know the video was showing people lose there lives right there on TV. I'm glad we only had some minor or damage here.

yes biggie

There was a complete dock here yesterday.  About a dozen boats underwater right there.  More getting smashed by repeated surges.  I got some video I'll post later.

Bad day for Santa Cruz.........
