It's one tough lake!!!!! Did you go up to the prison line for trout or back towards the little coves for bass?

yeah i tried a few weeks ago for the first time and got zip... just a nice paddle around the lake.  i will probably wait until the water warms up and hit the coves and backwaters.

I got skunked there on two trips a few weeks back as well. Interesting lake that just looks fishy as heck. They don't come easy. Too much feed.

7 yo kid caught a 23 pound rainbow trout on a bobber and nightcrawler about 10 years ago by the dam. 27 pound rainbow caught at the lake a few years later as well.  Giant footballs. Winter time.

Someone else caught the state record sunfish (redear) of over 5 pounds in the Folsom south canal where it leaves the lake back in the 90's.

Nice to watch all the college rowing teams practice in the afternoon/evenings. Put the hobie pedals to the metal trying to get out of their way as they fly by.

What day did you hit the lake? We did the same thing last Sat only from the Dam side of the lake. Highlight of the day was beating my 16yr old son when he wanted to race back.  :smt005  I may be a FOG but I was a butterflyer for a lotta yrs  :smt044
