I've been wanting to try either Mather pond or Arden pond.  I've caught bass out of both, but nothing else.  I have a county park pass for both, so no day use fees.  I'm willing to float the river, but never have.

I know Mather Lake has been kicking out quite a few pigs. I heard of a 5+ lbr taken on a rainbow trout swimbait.  Tempting!

First thing that came to mind when I read this thread was Arden Pond.
Wish I had Wednesday off.

It's all good. I had the same situation last week.

Well, I was planning on some pond fishing anyway so I went to Mather. I met up with racinrob for a little bassin. Gonna post a small blurb about it later.
