Thanks everyone.

I'm sure I will hunt ducks with it. Rich did last year in his yellow P15. Of course He probably ditched the yak before setting up. I could just lay a piece of camo burlap over me and go for it. I can't wait.

I keep looking at it and thinking I can't wait to get out tomorrow. It looks so cool.

Everything I've read on-line says it will be very stable. I suppose I'll know more tomorrow. As far as being a beast, yes it is. Kind of fits it's owner. Lol.

That old blue Tarpon 100 was way too small, but I never let that slow me down. I still had to go fishing. I bought that thing before I knew anyone who fished from a kayak. I just saw it as a good way to go rockfishing and was going to make it work come hell or high water. Now that I'm part of NCKA and have had the chance to see what really works I knew it was a choice of only a few boats that would really fit me. The 4.7 it is.

Scallen,

From the looks of your FF you'll win in that department. The rest will come with time. I'm planning on fishing it a bit first to get a feel for it and where I'd like to put things. I'll be keeping an eye on what you do with yours. Maybe we can steal ideas from eachother. I can't wait to put an FF on it. That's going to have to come soon.

Now I'm off to buy a wetsuit.  :smt006

I can't decide if I'm more happy for you or jealous for me... what am I saying, I'm jealous.
Super jealous.  Dammit.

WTG Gabe you deserve it, I can't wait to hear how it paddles.  Any plans for the Tarpon?

The Tarpon is staying in my stable for now. My son is really looking forward to using it.

If you join us next time we fish the port you can give the 4.7 a test paddle.

I've already made an executive decision;

I hate you Gabe.  I'm truly jealous.   :smt044

i like my trident, but it is heavy.

I plan on mounting at least one forward rod holder. For the rest of the outfitting I'm going to wait until I've paddled it a few more times and get a feel of where I want stuff. I've been looking for pics on-line to get ideas. Some that I've seen have a set of vertical tubes mounted behind the bait well area. I'm thinking that sounds like a good idea to me. We'll see about the rest of the stuff. The Trident with rudder that I checked out recently said it was 60lbs and mine is 77lbs. All the extra goodies start to add up.
