For real though!  I bet if we dusted that part for fingerprints, we'd ID some homeboy who hella hates Hobies.

Trust me fellas, I watch a TON of forensic files - fingerprints or not, hater or lover, I can guarantee one thing... the husband did it.

What kind of plastic are they using it looks like it just shattered like a fibreglass boat.

IMO: whoever owned this yak left it the under direct sunlight for a very long time. The kayak then turned brittle because of too much sun/heat exposure. Kayak was dropped and crack it went....Kayak Abuse right there :smt009

Oh, I didn't kept that thing...

My guess, is it came from a yak that shot off the top of a car and crashed off the bridge! Probably from some tourist from Oregon. Probably ruined their whole trip too.  That is an unpatchable chunk of yak there! ouch
Yeah, that might be it...  I know bunch of stuff flew out off the bridge.

I used to camp along the Yuba river during our annual mountain bike trips to Downieville. I've seen giant man eating beavers in that river. Perhaps a beaver went apeshit on it?   :smt104
but I like your idea better moochie!
You think beavers can digest Hobie kayak (biodegradable kayak)?

Naoaki, giant man eating beavers don't eat plastic. They just like munching on 'em like chew toys :smt002

.... giant man eating beavers ...

Try pausing between the first two words and the second two.  It reads like a really tall dude went downtown.

Hohohoho  Maybe the boat was frozen when it hit the bridge at 50. Blew up and shattered all over the place. Can you just take that 1 piece back and say, " I have a small leak I want warrantied." :smt003

you know you are addicted.....

When you stop on the side of the road to see a shard of yak and post it.

Actually, save that piece. I need that sand color to weld/patch some hole (now that is an addiction)!

Bad outcome from a late night claim jumping session?

Those stealthy Hobies...

Or perhaps it had sank earlier and morphed into a giant Hobie sluice box filled with gold.

Considering the speed people hit coming out of the curves across  that bridge you might be right
