I paddled more than a dozen different boats before choosing. I was torn between the T160 and the Prowler 15. I ended up choosing the P15 beacuse it was easier to handle out of the water and a bit cheaper. I've had that same boat for 5 years now and it's still going strong. I've been tempted by a T160, a Hobie Adventure, and a T15, but if I'm only going to have one boat I couldn't live with the trade off's I would have to make with those other boats.

The T160 is faster, but it's way heavier than the P15 and it's more boat than I want in tighter quarters.
The Hobie Adventure is fast and hands free, but it's wicked expensive and heavy, and more boat than I want in tight quarters.
I came close to trading up for the T15 due to the rod pod and sonar shield, but it's heavy and I don't trust the rod pod in surf launches and landings.

I'm still thinking of getting rid of the P15 someday, since I know the boat won't last forever. But I am done trying to have a single boat.

I want a small boat for river fishing (Steelhead on the Clearwater and Snake rivers) and a big water boat for large lakes and ocean launches. My current speculation is that I may buy a Jackson Coosa for small water and rivers, and then get rid of the P15 for.....? If the money is there, my big water boat will be a Hobie Adventure. If I need to scale back the budget it will be a tough choice between the T15 or the T160.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. -Jimmy Buffett
