Got invited to go fishing at the deep water channel today.  It was a spot up Courtland Road on the levee at light 62.  We launched my buddies aluminum boat off the bank.  It was freezing out there. We tried drifting jumbo minnows and trolling for little bit but the wind picked up and the water was getting choppy so we headed for shore where our buddy Aaron had a fire going.  It was good to warm up.  We all through out bait for a few small taps but we didn't get anything today.  I think it's just too cold yet.  Anyway, come to find out Aaron is a member of this site and regularly fishes the port in his yak.  And, he has an extra yak that he says I can use.  He's not familiar with Folsom so I  told we have to hit up Folsom any day now for some awesome bass fishin.

Your done for good now Ron. Once you fish from a kayak the addictive madness kicks-in!  Shoot me a PM if you want to hook-up at Folsom.  Good luck!
