I've never understood the scan type of credit card, or RFID.  It always seemed a little sketchy to me.  I mean, who doesn't have the time to take their credit card out of their wallet and swipe it through the slot?  I realize that swiping through the slot isn't a perfect situation either, but it sure seems safer than the RFID method.
