There is the entire jetty to Poke Pole on, but i'm a little worried about swells.  Guess you can poke the harbor side, but not sure i'd eat anything out of there.

my car is crammed full already and I don't even have my kayak gear packed yet.. I need to stop by home in mountain view to pick up some beer, 8.6 lbs of marinating short ribs and the bbq...and the goose down... :-)  but I a'int sleeping in the car.. so If I cant set my tent up.. ill just wait till morning..

I'm brining a small gas grill. If it is really a 10-12' west swell, I might do some shore fishing but not poke poling. SMC had an extreme weather warning today.
