AOTY Awards Ceremony/Picnic @ Half Moon Bay, Saturday 03/19/2011

I will be sleeping in my truck Randall. Maybe a tent. No luxury accommodations this time. Old school passing out in my Toyota.

Rob, I don't think you can pitch a tent at the harbor.

What time will everybody be going out for Crabbing?

VW, otobepelagic is setting his 8 pots Fri pm for an overnight soak. I can't come that early on Fri but if the weather is good and if someone is willing to paddle out at night, we can set our traps at night as we usually do for an overnight soak, else, we do our crabbing early Sat am around 7ish.

Just a small clarification......   I will be bringing eight pots and willing to share but probably only setting a few myself depending on the ocean conditions. The other pots will be baited and ready to go .....first come first served and the bounty (if we are so lucky) would be cooked up and shared at the event. 

Im gonna show up some time on fri after work... Gonna bring the fryer, you guys should just buy the tacos from me!

C'mon Allen - you should be able to stack 20-30 commercial crab pots on the PA!   

HOOOOOORAAAYYYY I GET TO MAKE IT! WAS ABLE TO GET FRIDAY OFF TOO SO NOW I MAY JOIN THE PRE PARTY AS WELL...THINKIN OF BRINGIN THE BOAT THO SO ME AND CHRISTINA COULD CRAB IN COMFORT! DOES ANYBODY KNO WHAT THE LAUNCH FEE IS AT HMB? AND IS THERE ANY MOTELS NEARBY?

Any contingency plan for this event? or does it happen rain or shine?

I will bring an extra 10x10 canopy just in case....

Is this a rain or shine event?

I have yet to see an event cancelled due to weather    If the weather turns bad, its more of an initiation than an problem

is there live bait somewhere close? I am thinking about going for halibut or striper or ... . not sure if I will get a chance to make bait since bringing the family (plus I haven't learned that method too well yet).

Just noticed that this was for the upcoming wknd!
Hope to come up for the day, bring the yak and fish the harbor for the highly valued, elusive, saltwater panfish.
Anyone else looking to pad the AOTY tally want to Perch it?
