Hidden Treasure

So me and shellback decided to go check some spots to see if they were good to dive.  We got down to the butterfly house and it was a no go.  But Im looking forward to the next low swell.  On the way back we hit up phils fish market in moss landing (good, but not the hidden treasure).  We get back on one north and decide to check out Bamboo Giant.  We got some bamboo to try out some poke polling one of these days and here comes the hidden treasure.  A gigantic Gong.  We gave it a good ring each and it made my week.  Highly recommend it to anyone in the area of freedom blvd with time to spare.  jeff has some video that he might be able to post. we will see.  until next time

YouTube is giving me problems right now, I dont know.  Anyway, there really isnt anything like banging a huge gong in the middle of a Bamboo forest.  If you are in the market for some bamboo of any size I recommend you go to Bamboo Giant on Freedom Blvd in Aptos.  Poke Poling here we come!

Back to the diving, was it windy, swelly?

The swell was just too big for me to feel comfortable to dive in a new spot.  There was a 50 foot area in between swells that we could have dove but we didnt even know how deep that small spot we would be limited to would be or what.  Next flat day I'm definitely headed to the B-house

Good call on not going out in iffy conditions at a new spot...I have never dove those Carmel spots, but have heard they can get rough, and conditions can change quickly so better safe than sorry!!

That gong is SWEET!!!!!!!

You should go saturday, much better forecast. I can't go cuz I got to run, take my daughter to a bday party and then go to a dance.  PM FishMaster1 and baitnbeer, they will hook you up.
