HiY'all! With the warm weather I just had to get out and test the waters for the first time this year. Here's what i found.
The water is dirty. Looks like coffee with cream. I don't know the temp, my ff sensor is crap. I dropshotted and also pulled a 6 inch plug for awhile tight to the shoreline. I caught nothing, but I'm not giving up cuz I've caught stripers early every year doing this, even in muddy water. The shad are showing really well. They were thick on top in many places, even saw them busted on by single fish, probably smallies.
Gonna try tomorrow, either Clear, or Mendo. Then again I might head to Leggett and fish for steelies...
You won't catch anything if you don't put a hook in the water!

If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
