Any plan for the AOTY is a great plan,
If you can keep up on it is even better and if not at least you tried. Good luck to all who put forth the effort.
I will also be trying to improve on my 2010 acomplishments and a top 10 finish would be a great prize in its self.

My wife just looked at me when I said I signed on for 2011. It wasnt a look of JOY! I do know this though, when I go to Monterey, shes going too. I have been informed. I think I had like 83 days OTW last year. Couple thousand miles easy. 239 minnows. 17 4oz leadheads. 23 swimbaits. 132 ghost shrimp. 289 grass shrimp. 49 mud shrimp. 29 squid...........................................1 kayak. 1 paddle. :smt006 :smt044 :smt044 Plus a whole GD shitload of fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ravensblack,
Now you sound like someone else  :smt005

Hey Jack - people give to many deserving charitable causes and to foster the positive vibe of this site in a variety ways, some of those contributions are public, many private.  IMO, not cool, nor any of your business, to try and call people out.
Respectfully - John

OK, resume AOTY discussion, which is what this thread is about.

Wow, I'm lucky if I get out once a month.  I'd kill for a year like that.  And then I'd probably be killed - by the wife.

Tad, believe me man.....AOTY only adds to the fun! I thought about not signing up this year but I had such a good time last year I figured hell why not enjoy 'The Road' again this year! It's a great way to 'play' with your buddies only the fun lasts all year. Jim

I agree adds some strategy to the game. Its still fun and not the end of the world if you don't win (haha). I found it made me pay attention to when fish are in the catching mood. And to seek out the advice of experts for a species. Like HobieBlue for LM and Stripers. and the Port of Sac crew for stripers. Additionally, it pushed me to fish in places that I wouldn't normally fish. This post is a perfect example of adding some focus to the game plan. Still fun...maybe more fun. But time will tell.

Oh and John....Anytime brother! Its TROUT MONTH!

Got a rookie question. So, I signed up and send the money for the AOTY sign up through PayPal. Now how do I get on the roster on the AOTY page and how do you post once you catch a fish? ... This first year I am just going to see how many points I get get,  if any.... :smt001

Don't worry, your name will be on the roster soon enough  :smt003  Just go catch a fish, take pictures, and then register for the AOTY, log on, and post your fish there (click on "My fish" then "Add fish").
