Had a few hours between work and sunset and snuck down to PG with my good buddy Andy FishMaster1!!

The spots we wanted to hit up were too sketch with BIG waves so went to to the most sheltered spot we knew, and still had to duck dive through large breakers to get out to the kelp forest.

Vis was ass and surge was brutal.  :smt009

I managed one RockFish and Andy cleaned the beach and got a nice stringer of trash!! WTG buddy!!!   :smt003

I did see a BEAUTIFUL fat olive rockfish but it scooted away before I could swing my gun around...still awesome to see!!

Even though it was not the best day of diving I've had, I had a blast getting in the water with my good buddy and getting one yummy meal for the family!!!

AND Andy treated me to beers and wings at the BrewPub afterwards...THANK YOU bro!!!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Totally last minute Jeff!!

Andy has hella good karma...that is a sweet looking tool!!

Days like today average out the days when I shoot a lot of fish....gotta enjoy the plentiful days and the lean ones as well!!

Also figure the dives in less than ideal conditions are good learning experiences and will make me a better hunter in different areas and different conditions.

I met Andy and Jim at Aquarius II before they went out.  I think Andy's alibi was 'meeting the plumber' and BigJim's was a 'Dr's appointment'.

Sorry to drop the dime on you guys but maybe a member can add them to their playing hooky excuse file.  Good to see you guys.

Would have done nothing different! Any time I can hang with Jim is a cool time to me. I broke into his truck and drank some beer... That was the best part...swell was   Way bigger than I like playing in. Took me about twenty to thirty minutues just to get out. After that I aS wore out.. Dove down around three times and said fuck this!!!! Swam back to the beach and decided to clean up tha ks for the recent post TRASHTALK!!!

Bad Vis makes you really appreciate it when it finally does clear up. Good job on cleaning up the trash. Even if we all just pick up a piece or two when we are out it really helps. Good habit to practice.
