I got to SWS late Monday because of horrible traffic. I arrived just before noon and the wind was blowing hard going straight out to sea. I was by myself and didn't feel like trying to paddle back against that wind. Five of us met up this morning and it was very flat with no wind. The vis was about 30 feet. Everybody got fish and I had a great time. I'll let the guys with the cameras take it from here. Thanks for the good dive guys!!

it was a great day indeed! except near the end when i was getting stalked by a seal , i needed eyes on the back of my head dealing with that furbag! i had to have george watch my back as i put fish on my stringer , everytime i turn he would be there getting closer and closer , he wanted my fish!

like merv said the day was great , the wind did kick up tho at the end and kinda made things intresting , my yak broke anchor and sent me swimming after it , that was fun! i lost my lil throwaway speargun by making a goofy ass move by puting it on top of my bungies , it fell out when i climed back on and i didnt notice, that thing was accurate too! now im back to the JBL untill something changes..i deserved that one!

o yea , Big Thanks to geoff for supplying the crew with the cucumber melon bodywash along with theh sea sponge lufa , next time bring some bathroom candles for a real showering expierience! my ol ladie just asked "did u use my bodywash?" i said "naw it was geoffs!" LOL

good day fellas!

Andy - You Bastard!!  See if I let use my strawberry shortcake cream next outing - dammit. Oh and that Lufa was my jock strap full of pubes!! LMAO

But really though, I dont know how my wifes smell good stuff got in the trunk, but nice to know that it was put to good use lathering the bunch of you sea monkeys up after an epic day like today.

Ill have to concur that the conditions were perfect for  the, "quiet before the storm".  Thirty foot viz as stated by Amphibian, and a little bit of particulate, but at least the surgieness was no where in the beginning which made for another rock cod expo around every boulder, especially in the shallows, as Andy and George were nice enough to point out. We were working the deeper section 20' to 30', while the two of them were over there humpin fur bags, and trading secret squirrel  with the rockies.... Bastards -  By the time the rest of us realized that the shallows were where the monsters were located, we probably had a thirty minute window before it was blown out, by the, "all hell lets loose", wind that came out of no where.  Amphibian and Andy both shot some monster Grassy's, and Ernest is starting to really get some down time in the deeper water, Go Ernest!

It was nice to meet both George and Merv, you two are always welcome to join us in the future. I appreciated the every so often pop in that George would do, as he swam over to check out your action and then scared the crap out of you, because you didnt know he was there. I even accidently shot my gun off, because I thought he was that seal behind me trying to steal my fish - no one was hurt or injured and he was behind me. heh

All in all - another epic day, and  really cant wait for Ling season, so I can shoot my first ling. I think all of us saw at least one keeper today.

Have a great rest of the week fellas - till next time...

Geoff

PS - Awesome slim pic of Andy, Ernest !!! LMAO  :bootyshake:

Good to see you guys killing some fish! Great vis for the midde of winter. Merv - next time take the fish outta the bag for pictures so we can be sure they are actually fish and not some seaweed you stuffed in the bag to make us think you got some! :smt002

ANYTHING is better than the Pebble Beach shower soap... can't believe they've been using that rancid stuff for so long.   :smt011

Sweet report, looks like a good hookup.  So that shower in the bathroom there is cool to use?  The members dont mind?  I dont think the drain works very well, the bathroom has been flooded the last couple times I've been in there.
