The steelies are at Prieta Creek above Squaw Rock, I hooked a large hen but she broke off at the shore...:(
Also interesting there quite a few guys got citations from fish and game for using roe.  The regulations say that barbless hooks only are to be used for this time period but doesn't say no bait can be used.. 
"All year. Only artificial lures with barbless hooks may be used from Apr. 1 through Oct. 31. Only barbless hooks may be used from Nov. 1 through Mar. 31."

Wondering what anyone thinks and how they interpret this, it seems quite open for interpretation because it doesn't say bait may not be used.  The warden was actually pretty confused himself..

thanks for the russian report, as for the citations, you got me there, bait is allowed from nov-march, so maybe he wrote them for the barbs not fully put down, some wardens on the russian will do the lambs wool test, any stray fibers on hook and you get a ticket, were they using trebles? cameron
