I would like to buy a fish finder for my Kayak (Trident 11) and was looking for a recommendation on what works best. I would like one that includes GPS in the unit as well. What has been successful for you? I am looking for easy maintenance, install and use.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I second the 350/SMAP  :smt002  Or that one EWB got thats basically the same but in color.  I also got a Hummingbird 363 which is a dual beam and fairly inexpensive.  There is a ton of discussions on this if you do some searches but basically comes down to the price you want to pay  :smt002

i just got the Lowrance M68c. Its a color/GPS unit. Only used it once. But it made a world of difference in freshwater. I got the bug after I saw my older Eagle working the same spot next to the M68c (HobieBlue). And he could mark fish and I couldn't (or not as clear).  MattS got the same unit on Amazon for $299

Humminbird 383c

X2...at least for the sonar aspect.  I have the 343C and it freakin' rocks...Humminbird color graphs are top notch.  Finding fish is the easy part...distinguishing structure is what matters IMO and the Humminbird shines in that area.
