Are there any close parking areas to get to the slough?

There is Seaport Blvd or Channel Dr. off of Enterprise Blvd. but you still have to walk up and over the levee.

Me and BigGabe just got back from Lisbon.  Didn't hook anything, the water is a tad low.  We were fishing with eel.  It needs to flood for the fishing to pick up.

Yes there are several places to park where you can walk over the levee. The only one I've been to is at the end of Seaport. Just park on the street curb somewhere near the end. I've heard of people getting tickets for parking in the parking lots or along the tracks. I've never seen it, but the rumor is there.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Thanks BigGabe!  I was wondering about parking the the business parking.  Abdiver, I recall you posting a pix of a parking lot next to a lake just north by the white water stroage tank.  Can you park there?

Do you mean the first pic below? This was just pointing to the slough, I would stick to the streets (Seaport or Channel) to prevent any tickets as Gabe said from parking in private parking lots.

How & where are you able to put a Kayak in? Using a kart and going up and over the levee can't be the only way? Those rocks are ankle breakers on foot! Is there a better area to put in at in this general area? Also what about fishing/kayaking over there by Jr's BBQ?

Done this on foot I haven't attempted to put the kayak in going up and over the levee. Is that the only way to get a kayak in? Is there less of a hike for hauling a kayak that's looks less likely to cause damage to the bottom of a kayak?

If you don't mind the extra drive, you can take the DFG wildlife road.  It takes about 15 minutes from the freeway but you would be able to launch and park right by the water.

Exit chiles and you'll see the entrance south of I-80.  Point "F" on the map is where you can launch.

Be careful navigating Lisbon....lots of snags (trees abandoned cars steel shopping carts, etc).

This is Lisbon Slough

It's easy access. Take the 5 north. Criss the river first exit first left over lil bridge park and cast.

Keep in mind that this access is only available 2/3 of the year, during duck season all the parking lots near the slough are hunting-permit-access-only.
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

I took a few pics of the area the last time I was out.  Ended up doing a little bank fishing for bass and caught a couple crappie...I personally wouldn't keep anything out of there though.  The 'no cars beyond this point' sign is for the little bridge that crosses over.  It looks like DFG has a bunch of ponds setup back there...maybe ATD can chime in on what goes on over there.
