jp- that 14-pounder made the Sentinel rfsh report with a pic as well.  that guy was my hero that week, he was even on the Let's Go Fishing Radio Show a couple days later.

Mooch- I'll be there will bells on for the opener, but not till around 9am.  Gotta get the kids to school.

Ranger Scot lang told me that dfg has made an initial plant already.  Maybe not bass chow.  Shasta variety trout averaging 14 inches.....!!!!

Love to get one of those babies on my light spinning rod.

Anyway Wednesday is for sure and maybe Saturday or Sunday as well, depending.

I don't see on the CA trout plants page that Loch Lamond will be planted before the 1st.  It says here (http://www.dfg.ca.gov/fishplant/fishplant_r3.html) that it will be planted between Mar 13th and 17th.

Some other local south bay lakes are to be planted in the coming weeks as well.  Check it out!

It was planted about 4 or 5 weeks ago.  All those shasta fish are hanging out and seasoning.....waiting for Mooch and his secret weapon!

So, are we still on for the 1st?  I just got back from Germany and need to go to Orlando on the 7th... so I'm trying to figure out if I should drain my WAF to 0 and get up early on Wednesday to meet you guys.

I mean, I can make some WAF deposits once I get back from Orlando, but this would tap me out.  I can do it, but I'd hate to do it alone!

Well, looks like no opener for me.  Sorry guys, I know it's lame of me.  I discovered today, much to my suprise, that I was already overdrawn on WAF -- so Loch Lomond will have to wait for my return from Boredlando.

I'm still on for the opener.  Looks like Wednesday will be the break in the rain.

I'm fired up with the trolling gear and big swimbaits.

This year, a trophy damnit!

I'm trying to make it Friday or Saturday, weather permitting.  Fishing off the Zodiak, though...

It was beautiful day today in my neck of the woods.  Little wind, no rain, and a little chilly outside.  I had to work tonight, so I didnn't make it for the opening, (wasn't going to anyhow due to crowds)   me & GF will be going monday the 6th (weather permitting) for a couple hours.
I'm in Scotts Valley,
