Got my post card form the peeps at the campground, I am in spot 95 this year! Not too near the back corner, but strategically placed between there and the bathrooms!

Awesome. Now I know where to come by and harrass you when I am stumbling back from the bathrooms!

Tried to make a reservation at Shelter Cove Campground, but got no help from the cook. Does anyone have a campground site map? Do i just book any site or is NCKA members gathering around certain section of the campground?

Now to start getting ready for this event.......

Just tell them you are with the group, and that you want to be near the crowd. The back corner is where the hell gets raised, I chose a spot in between. I view it is like going to church, I know I am not going upstairs at the end of the day, but at least everyone in the livingroom thinks I am! (my camp might be away from the party, but........yep)

What is NCKA's definition of "hell raising"?   

I would like some clarity on this issue so I can make a sound decision on my site location. Is it:

a) people drinking through wee hours of the night,

b) people drinking through wee hours of the night, extreme loud music

c) people drinking through wee hours of the night, extreme loud music thumping through the campground

d.) people drinking through wee hours of the night, extreme loud music thumping through the campground, with people dancing around the fire and on top of RVs

e.) people drinking through wee hours of the night, extreme loud music thumping through the campground, with people dancing around the fire and on top of RVs and local police are called to maintain civil order...

food,drink,tell fish stories and get ready for fishing in the morning. No police, some stay up late but not to much noise after midnight.

Yeah dude my wife and 4 year old daughter were there last year and there were no issues at all...very family friendly and I got drunk as a skunk, but was probably passed out by midnight!
 

I'd say option A in your post is the most accurate description!

I will not be camping but there will be kids and families in the campground. The people of Shelter Cove have welcomed us for the last 4 years because we have been good for the economy and polite guests. When you attend this event, you are part of the kayak fishing community and what you do reflects on that community and how the people of Shelter Cove thinks about us. By all means have a great time because I will, but remember we are part of a group and we DO want to be invited back next year. One unfortunate event can ruin it for everyone. This is the greatest kayak fishing event on earth. Lets make sure we can do it every year.

You can always do like the locals and go down to the beach by the boat ramp and party till the wee hours of the morniing.

GB2 nailed it. This is the greatest kayakfishing event on earth. It is super familly friendly. In addition to the big beach with the boatramp,there is a big sandy beach behind the hotel with rocky tidepools off to the edges. The kids love it !!

And I mean that in a good way, even the wild bashes are tame
