Well go picked up too friggin early by my good buddie Jim. He showed up at my door step at about ten till seven. :smt012....... Grabbed all my gear in A matter of about two minutes. :smt011.... We proceeded to head towards Monterey. After driving thru what seemed to be A no chance at getting wet Jim deffeted all odds! We got to the spot with heavy rains and gusty winds. As he suited up I kicked myself in the ass fo rforgrtting my fins! :smt009... Somewhat glad that I forgot them to be honest. :smt087 :smt087 :smt087... The maniac enterd the water and emerged two hours later. Will post pics soon.... :smt006

Nice Jim, is that a MFB? Looks decent out considering the conditions.

The wife wanted to have some friends over to the new house so she asked if I could go out and try and shoot some fish...OK!!
 :smt005
Also, just got a brand new Mako Predator Pro 70cm so was dying to go try it out!!
 :smt003
Forecast was ass, but was hoping to be able to duck dive through the waves and make it out and find some fish...lo and behold, there were no waves at all!! Windy and rainy, but not a swell in sight!!
 :smt003 :smt004
Windy is actually an understatement....gusts were so strong they actually blew my dive flag away!!!
 :smt010
Vis was decent (8-10) once I got past the murky shallows, and the new gun started the day off right! Nailed a nice chunky 16 inch Cabbie right off the bat!!
 :smt003
Picked up two Rockies, and then the gun started to act up....could not get the shaft to engage/load and the trigger starting sticking!!
 :smt013 :smt009
Managed to reload enough times to get three more Rockies and a nice 26 inch MFPB!!
 :smt007 :smt007
Swam in and when I was showing FM1 the gun, the trigger totally seized up and is now jammed completely...very disappointed that a new gun would do this on the very first trip, but think I just must have gotten one with a defective trigger mech and have contacted Mako already....hoping they will come through with a replacement...will let you guys know how it works out...

Had 9 people over for dinner and the haul fed them all, plus Ana and I...fried up the RockFish and Cabbie and braised the MFPB filets with a Raspberry Chipotle Barbecue Sauce, and did a chunk sashimi style!!
 :smt007 :smt007
GREAT times!!
 :smt004
THANK YOU Andy for hanging out with me...next time don't forget your fins bro!!
 :smt002 :smt005 :smt044 :smt044
 :smt006
Sincerely,

Jim
