Thinking about hitting Lake Hennessey for some crappie and bass. Anyone fish there lately or got intel? Looks like a nice lake I can take my boy out on. Anyone want ot check it out then let's hit it. Might even think about going on Saturday or Sunday morning. Rain ? Who cares!
Thanks

Hey Good Dr, Thinking back I remembered some conversations about this lake. After doing a search I ran across this posted on another site....

http://www.fishsniffer.com/dbacher/070302hennessey.html

"Boating Regulations: The daily boat launching fee is $4.00 per watercraft. Outboard motors of 10 horsepower maximum are allowed. Sailboats, catamarans and rubber rafts, with a minimum of 8 feet in length and a maximum of 18 feet, are allowed. Windsurfers, sailboats without cockpits, water skis, kayaks and other "similar crafts" are not permitted on Hennessey at any time. No swimming, wading, or water contact sports are allowed. Boats shall be allowed on the lake one hour before sunrise and shall be removed from the lake by one hour after sunset of each day."

Maybe/Hopefully things have changed since that was posted. If so maybe we will join you...

Well I contacted City of Napa and they said it is ok to fish by kayak. No contact to the water is what they said and must launch from the ramp. $5 or 25 yr. Definitely think I will hit this now since someone mentioned that there are some big crappie and bass in there.

I have fished there before from my kayak. I launched from one of the many easy places to put in and I got a warning to only use the ramp ot ticky next time... :smt012  The guy stopped and warned me while I was loading back up. They are ok with using a yak, but it must be launched at the ramp. Why, I have no idea?  :smt009 I guess they want every buck they can get out of you.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
