So, I spent most of this epic WSB season without a waterproof camera to document the season. Luck, have it, my buddy captured parts of the season to remember. I recently bought the same camera, but been trying to figure out how to properly mount it. Ran by the xshot online.

Wondering if anyone had advice on this product. Thanks!

I must admit the x-shot looks much more professional and not a bad price

Mount it where you could easily access it by sitting position in the case if you want to take a photo.  You should have another person play with the mount, x-shot extension and camera to record while you sit in the kayak until you have a desire placement.  Remember the higher you extend the extension the more your camera will want to wobble right to left when kayak is on the go.  You should look into reinforcing the bottom for support (inside of the kayak hull) with some cutting board material (http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=346&) or just go to the nearest TAP store and sometimes they will have leftover cut-out small sheets that they have no use but to toss them away for free.  If you don’t find any ask me and I’ll make a run to TAP to grab some.  If you look into this you’ll end up getting long bolts for your x-shot mount to the kayak.  Stay away from the inside the well area for you might need to make space of it.
