Just wanted to say I am very happy with product and support from Sean at GWKC re: my new Marauder XF I just purchased and rigging of my 2 kayaks he did for me. He is the nicest guy and will make you feel very comfortable that you're buying from a knowledgeable individual. When rigging my Prowler he came up with numerous ideas which improved layout.

Marauder XF is an uber-riggable kayak for fishing, tracks/paddles well, good length and width ratios, blah blah...the thing is frigging awesome!

All gear and rods/tackle can be stowed in center hatch when entering/exiting surf...kayak is essentially "nude".

It has 8! rod holders, 4 hatches, a CFS fish bag in bow, rod/paddle leash, paddle clips, thigh straps, hydration bag strapped between seat and fanny pack...and plenty of padeyes and d-rings for strapping tools, etc.

I just need to add some padeyes in tankwell for holding down a <possible> milk crate, maybe a live baitwell, running and p/s lights...and my sonar.

Going on it's maiden voyage this sunday for Sturgeon at Buck's Landing...wish me luck.

Mike:  Glad your happy!  You and your wife are very nice folks, and your casita on the lake is incredible.  Good luck tomorrow.

My only beef with the Marauder XF...after all nothing is 100% perfect...is the size of the channels down by my ankles...you have to be a ballerina to get your heels in there...especially with booties/shoes on.

However this won't affect my comfort/etc....just an annoyance.

Agree 100%.  Its barefoot or neoprene booties, and thats it.  IL ike the boat enough to look the other way, but if they would resolve this it would be essentially perfect.

The center round hatch in front of crotch seems like an excellent place to put a sla battery...with still room for keys, etc.

Technically...I probably didn't need extra padeyes and d-rings on side for tools...I just thought of a great? idea...I can use an extra large carabiner on seat straps and dangle/leash junk from either side of seat...so many options.
