Anyone up for a little adventure up in the ranch before the season ends? I want to hit this and I would be up for the either of the last two weekends. I know Craig wants to go! Let's organize the best option for this. I know there has to be some big ab's and fish that need to be depleted a little.

Unless you have a pass you are going down shell beach trail. Quite a ways.

What about Stengel? I know it's super protected, but can't remember what the trail to the beach is like.

I scoped a bunch of Sea Ranch out 4 or 5 years ago with my Dad for surf fishing and before I had kayaking in mind. Seems to me that there was a post of someone here documenting the access in detail w/pics awhile back. I am soooo down with any way to infiltrate that compound!

We should see how much it is to rent a cabin for one day and all pitch in and take over the place for the day ...?

Saltydog did a pictorial on the SR accesses, as I remember Shell Beach is the best, but a long walk.

Ya know an option that could be fun is to rent a place up there. I've done it in the past and you get drive passes along with it. If you get about 6-8 folks, it's not too bad. They have a kayak launch there too. Just a thought.

I think Pebble Beach is a nice launch also. At least the long walk will be on pavement so it shouldn't be a hard as climbing up any hill. I'm up for finding some guest passes or maybe splitting a house. What if we drop off the kayaks then walk back , that might make it a little easier. Let figure out something and make it work.
