Met Martin and Dave at the Benicia public launch at 7am and we launched shortly after that.  Took a picture of the beautiful sunrise and FAC water.  David joined us about an hour later.  We fish hard all day from Dillon Point to Glen Cove area but no Salmon for us today!  Saw 3 Salmon landed from shore and a few lost ones.  I caught a decent Flounder and Dave got crab  :smt003  Here are some pictures of the day...

Great report and pics, Sonny, as always.  (well, there was that ONE time you didn't have photos...   :smt003).  Nice looking water.  I love Dave's umbrella setup.

You 4 guys have a really great thing going.   :smt001

Thanks for post and pictures Sonny.  It was a great day on the water; the only thing that would have made it better would have been catching fish.

While we're fishing, we saw the Coast Guard running up & down in a hurry and wonder what's happening? It turned out that some one had a bad fishing day as his boat was on fire (see last picture).  One more thing, guess who called it quit early today?  :smt044

That Tommy Bahama umbrella was more important than my poles were today (unfortunately). It was Hot, Damn HOT out there. I could and would have stayed out had I known about that flounder (Sonny caught it on a lure, that's almost like catching a crab on a lure!) I could have deployed bait. I want one for food & AOTY. My bad, the marine radio volume got turned too low, didn't hear when the fish was announced. Luv This Crew, Thanks Guys.

I am not sure that ball of flame and  smoke was associated with the burned out haul...
I saw both but that flame seemed to rise up high in the air..
the boat hual wasn't even smoldering when it returned to the ramp nor did it seem wet from fire suppression so I figured that it was an old fire..
either way... it looked like a goner..hope he had insurance..

as for the  crab.....something possessed Hobiedave to take a bite out of the crabs' claw...
I chastised him immediately warning him that those suckers are full of parasites, let alone toxins...
we need you around buddy...stick to the salmon sashimi but not bottom dwellings..
good hanging with the crew...
sorry I posted on the other site...should have checked here first.
