Committed late last night to doing a spearfishing tourney in Cambria/SanSimeon (off Pico Creek) in 2 weeks.

Never dove that particular stretch before.  If anyone has a GPS/fishfinder & would be willing to paddle around, we could use all the help we can get.  We're basically trying to find pinnacles/structure out in the open (away from the kelp) or significant structure within large kelp beds.

We'll be out there this weekend & probably the next as well.  Any help would be appreciated.   :smt001

clyde and I can tell you where fish are NOT. The area to the north look like there was more structure. Oh but there also is an elephant seal haul out area just north of san simeon. Ping JK and/or Rhyak. They may have some waypoints to get you started.

i'm still kicking myself in the ass for not heading back out to the ocean side of the kelp beds after the fog broke. the kelp beds we fished, after we got lost in the fog, is the spot jk loves. trust me cant wait to kill them next time your in town! just to rub it in

Nice!

I've dove Leffingwell a few times, but never off Pico Creek.  Anyone ever fish from that particular launch?  :)

As for structure near Pico Ive got a few area that I slay the pigs,
There our alot of pinnicles that you can even see from the surface the area is actually loaded with them and multiple that dont. I fish up to pico creek 70% of the time that I launch at leffingwell. You wont have any problem finding pig fish. Id love to head out and put u guys on some but will be fishing down south looking for Lobster... :smt001 :smt003
