I have finally got confirmation from Tiki Lagun.
They will not charge us to launch but asked that we pay
$5.00 for parking  as we will probably take all the spaces.
I feel this to be a very fair request as the need to maintain their buisness.
When you fill out the parking permit (iron ranger at top of ramp) be sure to
wright KAYAK GROUP so they know you are not launching a boat.

Seems TOTALLY fair to me!     I appreciate that they dont charge for parking and launching of Kayaks, and 5$ is about as cheap as it gets (I've spent about 100$ at MBK this year for parking).

I took a ride out to Tiki Lagun today. Went into the store to ask about parking, said there would quite a few kayaks coming next week.
She said the person that called Thursday said it was going to be today. She wasn't real happy that no one showed today. I told her it was next week and said someone would call to confirm.
As for parking, no parking on the levee, 10 spaces below the store, said the rest would need to park in the dirt by the RV area just across the road.
There's a pretty big lot, if all sign ups come it'll be tight, but big enough.

If she's going to get pissy, we can easily take our business elsewhere.  There are a couple of other resorts within a couple miles and not to mention a million miles of shoreline that we could launch from.

I'm probably overreacting a bit, but obviously this was a miscommunication and not a case of Eric trying to dupe her.

She wasn't pissed, sorry if I made it sound as if she was.
I think she was more disappointed than anything.
I think this will be the event of the season for them.
