I will be fishing this coming Saturday and Sunday.  The WX looks somewhat mixed.  I will be keeping a close eye on it.  If the WX calms down a bit then I'll be fishing the SMC, probably EKG, PP or the bean.  If the WX remains or gets worse than I will make the drive down to SWS.  More details on Thursday night.

I will post another hookup for Sunday.  I'm still debating another white seabass run.

Current reports say 3-4 foot swells and 5-10 mph winds. That makes the Bean doable. I need more fish for the freezer. Sunday is my most likely day. Have to check the WAF account for Saturday.

I can do SMC on Sunday 9/19, please keep the post updated.  I spoke to good source that the kelp south of Pigeon Point has been productive.
The lighthouse launch there is pretty mellow compared to the other spots.

Michael, I wish I could join you on this exciting trip, but I'll be heading down south for business. :( It looks like that many of our brothers are gonna join you, I'm happy for y'all!

I look forward to reading your report, and I still look forward to fishing with you and our brothers :D

Since it looks like the majority of folks are going out Sunday, I propose that we meet at the bean at 6:30 AM and then make a decision as to where to launch then.  On Saturday, I will be going down to Monterey and launching out of lover's point if anyone wants to join.

Dan, sorry we missed each other again, have a good trip down south.

The NOAA forecast @ the Bean is:
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. West northwest wind at 5 mph becoming southeast.

Sunday: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 65. South southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west southwest.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

The Bean surf forcast is a consistant 3.5 ft with long periods

Despite the rain the conditions look good

I'm up for it on Sunday if you guys are committed to going

Hi guys,

There is a chance that I will not make it tomorrow so don't wait up for me.  After today I have a score to settle and that means I may end up back down in monterey in the morning instead of on the SMC.  If I don't see you guys, good luck!  I hope you have a great day of fishing.

Michael
