Heading on a vacation with the in laws. I may have a shot at getting OTW. Any good launches or tips for Cambria? Google maps shows "moon stone state park" as the closest POSSIBLE launch.

Any inteL?

I was there for the rockfish opener with my wife and kids.  Didn't get to fish, but went down to the beach/ launch area to check it out.  The launch/ landing looks pretty good.  I met a few of the members there when they came in.  They had several good rockies and a decent ling.  Good luck and have fun.

I haven't launched there....yet. But a lot of guys put in at leffingwell. Its a nice cove by the bridge on moonstone dr. A lot of kelp area. The Ocean can turn nasty along there so be safe.

look forward to a good report, aka-Kimo

Exactly - easy in/out and great fishing to be had.  Here is a vid from Sept 2009 that shows the launch area.

Best words EVER....Asked the wife. So what are the plans when we visit your parents. Should I bring the boat?

"OH yes, for sure. We chose that place cuz it's near the water for you"

OH YEAH! Not sure if I am fishing Friday (9/17) or Saturday (9/18). But I got some serious fishing to do with inlaws and brother/sister inlaw looking for meat!
