So...have been gradually building up the mileage of my runs in training to run the Nike Women's Marathon in SF on 10/17 as part of Team Mooch!

Me and my two buddies, Miguel and Juan, are going to be doing this 26.2 mile run together in Mooch's honor!

Running jerseys are in the works and I will post pics when they are ready...

Figured I would post up where my training runs are in case any of you want to join, or if you see me slogging by you can give me a honk and a wave!!

 :smt004

If you have met me, you know that I 'aint got a runners slim physique, so don't laugh at my somewhat, uhmm, deliberate pace!

 :smt044

Today we are leaving my house in Capitola at 4:30, running down East Cliff, past Twin Lakes, over the Harbor, past the Brewery, down past the Boardwalk, to WestCliff/Cowell St and back!

13.1 miles today...hope it 'aint too hot!!  :smt005

Anyway...will keep you all updated as the mileage goes up...done one Full Marathon before and several Halves, but this will be the first Full that I train for without a Team/Coach so any words of encouragement are greatly appreciated!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Best thing about running a half marathon after a full day at work: cold beer tastes REALLY good once you are done!!
 :smt005 :smt044

Dude...you guys should see some of the surfer girl scenery along this route!!

Jim, think like the energizer bunny.  Just keep on going going going....  Watch out for those parking meters at SC.  Running and girl watching can be dangerous.

Ahh.. I remember my younger days.
I used to run and I got all the way up to almost 2 miles (and about 10 years younger than you)

I found you wifes fundraiser page and will donate (sorry I missed the poker party)
