Abalone for bait?

I was checked at Ocean Cove while removing my 3 abs from the shell. The warden asked me what I had planned on doing with them. I said I was taking them back to my camp and goin to prepare them dinner. She said "good answer". She then checked my tags and on one of them the ink washed off. She gave me a
warning and said to at least try to scratch sthing on the tag.
The warden was hot btw.

what did she mean by "try to scratch thing on the tag."  ?

She wanted to see somthing on the tag. I guess to show that I made an effort to fill out the tag

on a multiple day camping trip. are we allowed to have the abalone we got from the day before with us in the car while we dive the next day? all properly tagged of course.

Yes, you can dive get your limit, tag and fill out your card. Then you could "gift thoes abs to your wife, girlfriend, ect. The next day you can
get your limits again, remember to fill out your card and tags with the correct dates. Technicaly you have 6 abs but since you gifted 3 your not over any limit. Just make sure the person you gifted them to is with you.

so i guess it's a no no if all the people who dive the previous day and all limit out is diving the next day also? i normally drive 3 to 4 hours to get to my dive spot. so i drive down there fri, dive and then camp the night. dive again sat then head home. i just want to make sure i'm legal. don't want to be break any laws.... thx!
