That pic of Adam hugging his yak is a classic...man, I'd make that my avatar if it was me.  :smt005

Once this hits the press, the name Fishunter will be as famous locally as it is within NCKA!   :smt004

So I get a call on saturday from my husband Adam around 4:00 and I tell him we are going to have ravioli's for dinner and he says I think I'm going to hang out with the guys and then he says guess what happened and I'm thinking he caught a huge white sea bass no I got hit by a shark he was so calm about it and of course I said WHAT.  He said he took off with my pole and I lost my water bootle and he said asian pears dont float. Not until Sunday when he was washing all his stuff he realized the shark bit his sandal off and thats why it was floating in the water with all his belongings after the shark flipped him out of his kayak. The sandal has a tooth mark on it and the only thing he has is a tooth scrape on his shin. Thank god he made it out of this. See what I have to worry about. He'll probably go back out in the water this weekend.

Yo Adam, glad you're OK and still flashing that famous Fishunter smile!

I find it fitting that the most prolific C&R fisherman of the Bean gets C&R'd by the landlord.  Just think if you didn't have that C&R karma, it might be a different story.

This is another incident one for the shark folks to figure out.  You weren't in a red yak, there were no turbo fins to mimic a tasty shark snack and it didn't hit you hard enough to launch you even though it was a vertical attack.

I hope it doesn't stop you from hitting the bean again, if you need company PM me and I'll be your wingman.

WOW, unreal! Glad you're OK Adam.  :smt006

I'm glad this isn't a common occurrence, but I'm sure this isn't the last shark attack we're ever going to hear about at the Bean. Hopefully they continue to have happy endings!

hang on boys!! I'm OK and had a 20+ second adrenaline shot to last a lifetime.  i got a load of work@work and i'm putting my thoughts together for you all to read. I did not know how CLOSEwasCLOSE :smt009 I came to losing something very dear to me (other than myLuckyTrevalaRod & trusty Diawa Sealine combo, loaded w/40lbPowerPro and Seaguar25lbLeader, tipped with a big ol' Ownerleadhead(which I hope is hooked safely in its mouth), when I cleaned all my gear off the next morning and discovered that it did get a hold of me, somewhere during the explotion.

It took REAL_ Balls to peddle as fast as you guys did to get to a person had just been hunted by an apex predator who knew something was alive on one of those nasty tasty things.
LostAnchovie&nudling arrived first to see a perfect 50ft. circle of fruit salad(AsianPears dont float) and all my belongings spreaded around me.= HELP!

Paddle In Place :smt002  and bear with me fellas, our own NCKA Legend Allen Bushnell is writing a story, and I will recant it today.
