Big Thanks and Great Job to MBK, Aaron and Allen,
I know there is a lot of prep that goes into putting these events together and you did it without knowing if enough would show. Another big thanks to NCKA for rallying together and making a strong showing - all in less than a week. This is and has always been a great event with a very beneficial cause and I'm glad to see it be as successful as it was. Thank You to all who organized and participated.

Ebj&%$@!?,
Congratulations on your victory,
Nice to see the home town boy become the hero.
I would have taken the lead but was up since 2am and was a little off my game :smt044
All kidding aside - great job, you earned it.

Mooch,
Thanks for the gift
It was good to see you today - even better to see you on the water paddling.
Stay strong my friend and we'll paddle again soon

See Ya Soon,
Eric / Yakhopper

WTG Phil and all who showed up for another fun derby! It was definitely the year of the ling. The top ten entries averaged much larger than ever before and the 8+# cab was a bonus toad that we usually don't see at MBK.It was also cool to see Mooch fishing and partying with the crew like old times.

Once again, NCKA came through and produced!  :smt004

Congrats to all the winners and their puny lings.  :smt044  J/K!  It was great to see some nice fish come up in this derby, much respect to you guys who fish Monterey Bay.

It was great to see all my OG homies and to meet a some future OG's, alot of cool people fish this derby each year and I was super stoked to be there.

Of course, it was great to fish next to Joel, buddy, it's been a long time, before you even got sick, trying to get time fishing with you seemed impossible, i'm glad I got to see you dippin a line.

Allen, thanks for hooking me up, Aaron, you too, and it was good fishing with Chuck and Ben, Frank and Joel, you guys all  have little tiny spots in my dark fish killing heart....   :smt006  JTF..

Looking forward to getting out OTW with you both and the rest of the crew soon. I will be busy with teachings and ceremonies for the next two weeks but want to break that new T-13 in real soon after that.
