The party boat on Friday was a blast.  We had 15 people on board for a good day of fishing.  I have pictures that will post up later, but if you took some, feel free to post up.  The ocean was fairly rough, and I think everyone got slammed intot he rail at least once.  Two boys got sea sick and did not get any fishing in, and a couple grown ups got a little green too.  K, that was the bad news.  The rest of it was fantastic!  Savana, my daughter was the first to limit out, with a mixed bag of olives, blues, rosies, and other fish.  Fish Master1 got the first vermillion of the trip, and my girlfriend Malaya got the other.  My son Cody got the only ling of the trip, but was an underling. It was on light tackle, and he had his hands full!  I did pretty good, letting the kids reel in fish when they were not hooked up.  I bagged some chinas, olives, blues, rosie, blacks, etc.  Pretty much it was a hot bite for the back of the boat right off the bat, then it went dead for a while.  At the end of our trip, the bite turned on, and those that could fish, (not sea sick) did well.  Andrew was on fire with cannaries, but finally turned it around to get keepers. Chris was on fire too! (Fish Master1's boys)  Big Jim, well, he did good too.  Everybody had room to move around which was nice with the rough seas, and thank you everyone that contributed money for a spot on the boat.  I did not count the cash, just handed it over to our buddy Mooch.  I really look forward to doing this again next year, and with a little more time for planning, should be a great family event.  I had a ball seeing everyone having a good time. GN was the king of the sea cucumbers, and the fish on, fish off.  I just want to thank all of you guys and gals, kids, for coming out and enjoying the day, and Noyo Fishing Center for working with me on a reasonable price for the boat where I could afford to make the trip happen.

I had an AWESOME time!!

I thought about leaving my spot up front and waiting until one of the kids or Malaya turned around so I could steal their spot!!

 :smt005

But up front was cool, and me and Andy were kicking it and talking trash with the deckhands, so it was probably better we weren't right next to the kids!!

 :smt002 :smt005 :smt044

I got two nice Chinas, a Goldeneye and two chunky blues....was bouncing big stuff on the bottom hoping for a Ling or a big Cab, but no love...no worries though cuz I had a blast anyway with everybody!!

Thanx again Rich!!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Yup. Lotta fun. Even if it was a little bouncy. Enjoyed hanging for a bit with Big Jim and Fishmaster 1, and took a sack of fish back too. Unfortunately, my son Cameron was hanging over the rail hoping for devine intervention :smt010

Kudos to Rich for doing this!

I had a great time on the boat. However, I could have done without Ryan getting sick. I may never get him back on another party boat. He told me he felt like scrambled eggs. At least he'll still go out on the yak with me.  :smt001Hopefully next year the ocean cooperates a little better.

It was cool seeing all the first timers and kids catching fish out there in the ocean. Cody was a real trooper. He waited until he caught his limit to say he couldn't reel in any more fish. He was so done.

I've been out on many party boats, but never with a crowd this cool. It was awesome being on there with nothing but friends.

I'll be back next year. I may not be able to talk Ryan into it, but I'll be there.

Thanks again Rich. :smt006
Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.
