You are busted Jim!!! Guitarzan threw you under the bus!  At precisely 3:24 of his video, you hold that fish up in its pre-withered condition!  :smt003
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Ok...

Mooch was complaining about my driving on the way up, just because a couple of overgrown bushes touched his mirror....  I had to hear about it all weekend, from several different sources...

So it was a long, boring drive home...  my mind got to wandering while Mooch started to nod off...  trying with little success to stifle a snicker, I kinda let my head roll forward, and while carefully keeping an eye on the road I let out a lil snore...  The snore woke Mooch up and I saw the fear of death in his eye as he slapped me.

I thought I took things a bit too far, and tried to apologise, but apologies are hard to accept when someone is laughing uncontrollably, and I understand that.

Silence for about 50 miles...  then around Santa Rosa finally Mooch breaks the silence...  "that was a good one, I admit...  You should swerved into the dirt, if you wanted to really get me good..."

 :smt044

Love ya, Brother!  I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me!

As a former victim of the moochcrybabycomplaintwagon I must say...

I first wanna thank craig and linelle for all there hard work and for putting this whole event together. U both did a fabulous job and i hope next year is just as fun or better! Of course it will be...I also wanna thank all the sponsors for their help and donations as Christina and i are truly grateful and appreciate everything. Congrats to Rockroach(marcos) and to MontanaNv8 for their Victories as well. Special shout outs to Jedmo and his whole family for letting us hang out with them and for the drinks, laughs, and the KILLER ADOBO, it was amazing,Bird(john) for help taking my new trident home for me just awesome,Eric for the great gaff, Ben(guitarzan) for the sick painting, Tiny(steve) for helping us out and for the company, Kirk(lilriverman) and his wife for the company and for the ginger, Tigerfish for the swimbaits, BigJim for the laughs, company, the ceviche taste competition, and uni this guy is just an animal when on the water WATSON BROTHER haha, BaitNBeer(andy) for the company and for introducing us to other fellow NCKA'ERS and homies, and as well to everybody else that was there who we did and didnt get to meet for your great company and hospitality. Everyone in NCKA ROCKS! And last but not least SUPER MUCH THANKS TO THE KAYAK FISHING LENGEND....MOOCH! It was here at albion that i got the great priviledge of meeting mooch and sooo glad i did! It was you bro and your blessing to me that early morning on the way out to launch that helped me win. Thanks brother!

As for the fishing, it was rough and tuff out there and water conditions were awful. But the weather was great and we all headed out in that washMachine of an ocean and made it happen. Fishing was slow indeed but i stayed on it hard and believed! Scoring a ling, a cab, and few gophers for me i guess was enough to seal the deal! All my fish were caught banging the metal against the bottom and were always tipped w/squid. No specific colors but two specific jigs.
And then there was the crabbing. I literally pulled up like 50 plus crabs for only two sets with only one crab trap. And out of that 50 only one keeper. Well at least it looks good for next years crabbing. All in all, Christina and I had soooo much fun and will be back next year for sure. To the whole NCKA BROTHERHOOD AND FROM YOUR 2010 ALBION OPEN CHAMPION, THANK YOU, FISHWORKS!

i had a blast , the fun just wouldnt stop , i made my rounds friday night and payed for it come game day...paddled out with IROELIKETHAT into some sloppy seas , didnt wet a line for about 20 minutes cuz i was tryna get acustomed to the motion. finally started gettin down while takin waves on the lap , gained alot more confidence in my yak though cuz it handled the waters like a champ , did my thing for about an hour and a half or untill i started diggin in my tackle tryna downgrade my offering , thats when the burps came!  :smt013 all the tequilla , beer & hooch mixed with all the food transformed into a vapor from hell! couldnt get myself back together after that so i paddled in thinkin i could regain myself after a trip to the bathroom and a bottle of water , found tigerfish at the launch tryna regain himself and when i told him of the burps i experienced he started losing his guts almost instantly! HA sorry bro
The day wasnt wasted though , hooked up with the river drift crew and went sight seeing along the albion river , really cool and relaxing even though the tide wouldnt flipp and we would have to paddle in against the wind and current , wasnt too bad though , i took my time , got back to base and the potluck was going full swing and it was amazing just as predicted  , craig that keg was nice too , i did my part! saturday night i made myself beleive that i was mellow and taking an easy on the drink but when i woke up people were tellin me an other story, i slept good anyways and woke up with BJ (HAHAH) , gabe and dave(flyfishingrow) along with drhabenaro for an early morning dive and got my abs. i need to work out! sundays dive killed me today at work , legs all sore , arms sore but i guess thats a good thing , need to work out my muscles more to get in shape.

TOTE....ur campsite rocked BTW

What a great weekend!

First, thanks to Craig and Linelle for hosting a fantastic event – well done my friends!

Thanks to Jack and Spike for all their work as well. And to all of the sponsors and folks who donated  prizes and supported the raffle.  Big shout out to Rich for setting-up the party boat gig on Friday – incredible!

Mooch – you da man!

Congrats to Ricci, Marcos, Rich and Christina – great job OTW!

Arrived about 10 PM on Wed evening.  OTW Thursday about 0900 – light wind, smaller swell then tourney day but same mixed and short period.  Fished around the cove opening on the south end for a few rockies then went trolling for salmon NW of the buoy based on some intel from PBers that had caught Kings the day before.  Trolled for a few hours, hooked a 6-7# silver, shook it off at the boat – no kings.  On Friday morning O2B and I tried to get out to go salmon fishing, we headed out of the cove but the swell had picked-up considerably so we decided against it and headed back to shore. Spent Friday visiting with friends and meeting new friends, enjoying the scene as everybody was arriving. Launched at dawn on Sat.  As reported, washing machine within the cove with some big waves breaking at the mouth around the low tide.  Paddled out to the buoy and fished to the north.  Short period swell with occasional 10 ft big sets rolling through.  Fishing was slow for me – 1 underling. Came in and enjoyed talking with Mickfish and EWB floating in the inner cove. Great time at the potluck and ceremony, all of the food was simply incredible, can’t get enough of Chuck and Glyn’s fried fish.  Highlight of the trip was doing some perchin’ with O2B on Sunday morning in the inner cove – laughing like 2 kids fishing with bobbers and red worms for bluegills. That was fun.

Trip home was a bit of a nightmare. Got caught in the end of the delay from the car that rolled off of Hwy 128. Then heading down Hwy 20 on the east side of Clear Lake, a car about 5 cars in front of me swerves across the line and clips the front drivers side corner of a PU coming the other way and closes down the road.  Thankfully not direct head-on collision and no apparent major injuries – both victims from the truck were taken in the ambulance with neck braces, of course the guy driving the car that caused the accident was fine.  Both vehicles totaled.

Another great NCKA hook-up – thanks everyone!.  Nothing like the vibe and spirit at an NCKA gathering!

Thanks to everyone that made this happen.  Also thanks to those that showed my family and me the hospitality and kindness that I've read so much about on this site.  This was our first NCKA event and we all had a great time (especially my daughters) whether fishing from the dock or doing cannon balls off the zodiac upriver.  Too bad we couldn't get a site at camp but we'll be better prepared for the next one.

To those people that I cut in front of at the pot luck line, I apologize.

I was at the beach looking at the conditions and the only thought I had was: "I know someone has got to be barfing..."   :smt003
