Thanks guys, and you bet Mooch.  Not exactly sure what boat, but it is through the Noyo fishing center.  Check in is at 630.  I just ask for a donation to the Mooch, what ever you can muster.  I will make sure he gets it if he can't make the event.  I would like to fill the boat for this!  Should produce some good fish for the feast on Saturday too.

I hope you can Jim, it will be a blast to have you and Joe to fish with.  I wont get much fishing in, I will have my two little ones, and will be helping them.  Neither one has been out on the ocean before, so I plan on being their deck hand to make sure they catch a lot of fish, and reel in dad's fish for me.  I also have a taxidermist that does all my fish, told me he would do a ling for Cody free for his birthday that is next month.  So I gotta get my little man on a ling!

I'm in solo.

Bloodbath can't make it.

Rich...I've never been on a  big charter boat before...not sure of the proper way of doing things...

Assuming it is cool to bring own rod/reel, tackle, snacks and drinks?

Let me know...

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Jim

I'm glad you're able to make it. What happened to Bloodbath? Is he still coming to Albion?

I bring my own gear every time. You're responsible for your own food and drink.

The thing you won't know until you get there is what kind of gear the captain will provide for you. Most of the time it's just shrimp flies. Bring a selection of heavier weights than you're used to fishing from the kayak. A wide variety is good. If the boat is full the heavier weights help to reduce tangled lines. I tend to fish a ling bar with a shrimp fly above. On the other hand if the boat has only a few people on it I tend to lighten up the gear and fish things like swim baits etc.. More like what we do on the yak.

Let me know if you need more info.

It's getting hard for me to think about anything but Albion.  :smt001

Glad I could help. Also don't forget that it's customary to tip the deckhand and to pay for fileting if you have then do it. There's no ATM on the boat.

Thanks for letting me know about Bloodbath.

Thanks for doing this! Got room for a last minute addition of a father son team? Will the boat have rods for them that needs it?

Thanks, Ross

We should have plenty of room left.

The list so far. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Mooch, if he can make it.
MontanaN8V (Aka, Rich) and his two kids and guest
GN (Aka, Gabe) and my son
FishMaster +2 or 3, I'm not completely sure
BigJim
Fishwrapper + son

That makes 14 if my count it right. Rich, let me know if there's anyone else.

We still have room for 11 more.

This trip should be a great addition to an awesome weekend. I can't wait.

I think I will take a day off on Friday to do this (my kids are busy) so I will go solo.
Hey Mooch.  I got room and can drive if you want to go Thurs. night or early Friday morning.
I will have a couple of days and can pick you up.
