Mooch's snore will only be surpassed by his ability to yell FISH ON!

....I have learned from the past that yelling "FISH ON" is not always good thing...cause you end up with a flotilla of boats around you in a matter of seconds :smt011....In the year of 2006, my "FISH ON" yelling will be replaced by a secret code that I will only share with my fellow NCKA brothers and sisters.....

Inspired by the movie "Wind Talkers".....the secret code will be "Huli Ka!"...which in my native language (Tagalog) means: "I gotcha!"

So am I correct in that it will me me, Mooch, Dave, Brian G, Randy, and Seabreeze.  Yeehaw!  Now there's a crowd to fish with!

Wow!  That's going to be a great time... what a great group of people to fish together.  That will be an epic trip for sure.

Yes Allen you are correct. That's the official list. I can't wait for this trip myself. Every extended trip I've done leaves vivid memories. Lots of great ones, but even the harsh ones. Like the time.. we couldn't wait for summer so three of us took off for a week in March. Almost sank a kayak with gear on day one. BARELY made it to shore. (Never take an untested prototype kayak on a multi day trip!) Then promptly got stuck right there for 3 days with it raining/snowing sideways and hazardous seas. Ended up 30 miles from where we started, in a 10x10 cabin. Lived like kings for 2 more days, then paddled 30 miles back in one day, on my birthday. Thirteen hours paddling hard.  From glassy to snowy to rainy to rough to stiff headwind to darkness to not knowing if we could make it, and then making it. A great memory.

Hope I haven't scared anybody off.

Hope I haven't scared anybody off.

Not me.  I'll be attending BlueKayak's SEAL bootcamp this summer.  Anyone else?

Mooch, Brian, Pat, Randy, and Allen -- if you want to really get pumped up about this trip, check this out...

I have unfortunate news....got a memo from work today about "no vacation requests will be approved in the month of September"  :smt011 The entire company will be re-locating to a new location and all employees must be present to help out in the process  :smt013

There goes my dream vacation  :smt010  :cry3

I already mentioned this to Howard and I'm hoping someone in the board can pick up my slot. I'd hate to see anyone miss this opportunity to fish with a great group of people under the guide service of a true Alaskan outdoorsman like Howard.

So, for those of you who are interested, please get hold of Howard ASAP and let him know you want "in"
His contact info is: http://www.yakfishalaska.com/your_guide.html

And to the rest of my comrads who will be going - best of luck! I'm sure you'll all have a great time - bring a salmon home for the mooch  :smt002
and please take lot's of pictures!!!

I will now have a few  :chug and drown my sorrows...........

Joel -

That is SO wrong, bro!  I really feel badly for you.

It won't be the same trip without you, but...

...Pat can bring bananas for everyone's boat...
...I'll mooch bait from everybody there...
...Brian can wear the Speedos...
...Allen can grow hair on his feet...
...Dave can practice his snoring.

We'll miss ya dude.

Hope to see you sometime this weekend.

It's nice to know that there's a little bit of "mooch" in everyone  :smt002

I'll defintely see you guys this weekend - let's hope the conditions calm down. I think a salmon dancing on my deck would really cheer me up right about now  :smt001

Wow, Joel......when the powers that be want to mess with you they throw a big punch!  Sorry you won't get to join us on the dream trip.

And since you will "need" pictures I guess I will have to get a waterproof camera before the trip...... :smt003

That's just not right, Mooch.  Who's your employer?  Let's start a boycott...

Or, time to look for another job!!

Feel for you Joel I know you are bummed. But there is always next year. Let's hook up
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Joel,

Why don't you just quit?  That way you can fish every day this summer.
