....and the curse continues.

Score:

Frankfishing = murdered the sardines and hooked onto a seal pup  :smt044
Mooch = a big fat ZERO  :smt011

But despite our empty stringers and dealing with the cold gloomy weather, I was happy to be out on the salt (my first outing of the year) Thanks for the invite Frank :smt008 Also want to thank Frank for being my personal sherpa as I had no strenght to even wheell my yak up the little sandy hill at the end of the day. I'm a little sore today but it's the good kind of sore  :smt002

After we loaded the truck, we met up with Franks wonderful family and headed over the New Brighton for a late afternoon picnic....chicken, potato wedges and kettle chips for lunch and brownies for dessert. Franks family surely knows the way to Mooch's heart  :smt003

Here's some pics...

I get to Franks house at 5AM and as we were ready to roll, Bella (Frank's pup) decided she wanted to ride shotgun...

Big Jim, I'm really starting to think that the fish in Capitola (Santa Cruz and New Brighton) only cater to the locals :smt011

.....I'm starting to feel like Sonny / Sailfish and his quest for his catfish  :smt005

My pleasure Joel. I had a great time on the water even if you did laugh at me when the seal porpoised with my line in it's mouth. Del Valle next week? or ARW?

Joel, glad to hear your out fishing with Frank.  I went fishing with him at DV a few weeks ago.  Nice guy.  I have the same luck as you at Capitola.  Might join you guys at ARW if you go next week.

Mooch - What, no Dines?  :smt012 You're the king of the sardine slayers. I thought no Dine escaped the Lottila Grilla  :smt003
