After talking about the raffle format a little bit, here is how it is going to go down....

Its going to be one big raffle with all the items in the pot, big and small.

COST: $20 per ticket.

So for every $20 you donate to the paddle, you get a ticket. You can buy them yourself, or you can gather friends, family and co-workers to “sponsor” you for the paddle.

• After the paddle my Mom will be set up on the beach, handing out raffle tickets. If you choose to donate through PayPal, Allen will provide her a  list of those who paid through the “Pay It Forward Paddle” PAYPAL link and how much each person donated, this will determine how many tickets you have earned.

• Or, you can turn in your donations, on the spot the day of the event and claim your tickets that way.

• Whether you make the paddle or not, You can also purchase additional tickets on the day of the event.

• Friends and Family are also welcome to purchase tickets on the spot, the day of the event

• You do NOT have to be present to win a raffle prize (were here to raise money, so bring it on)

• If you can not be present the day of the event and would like to purchase a ticket, please send me a PM, and we will work out the details

The PayPal link for donations is here:
http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?page=Joel%20Lotilla%20Flotilla.

We encourage everyone who can, to make the actual paddle, this is a important part of the event.

So remember, for every $20 you donate to the paddle, you get a ticket. You can buy them yourself or you can gather friends, family and co-workers to “sponsor” you for the paddle.

Please note that this event is separate form the MLPA fund, all online donations can be made here to count towards the Pay it Forward Raffle:
http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?page=Joel%20Lotilla%20Flotilla.

So go get those “sponsors” and earn some tickets.

I've shut down the MLPA fund for the time being.  Further donations should be made to the Pay It Forward Paddle Fund which will automatically enter you in the raffle.  Skip a few 6 packs this week and enter in the fun!!!

Just my two cents about the raffle. As stated above you need not be present to win, although.... there should be some sort of time frame before the item goes back up for raffle, or bid. The problem I see is having to store an item for somebody that say lives in Redding. How is the item gonna get shipped . Just an example.Poleple what are your thoughts? :smt006

How about ... "arrangements should be made by the winner to pick up the item within 4 weeks of the event otherwise the item returns to the Mooch raffle/auction pool".

I don't think many tickets will be sold to people not attending, do you guys?

It was mentioned before, maybe those people give money to someone who is attending, and they are responsible for the ticket purchase and item transport if they do happen to win...?

Just a thought.

I don't think it matters.  I'm certainly willing to hold onto the items for someone for up to 4 weeks.  It's their responsibility to figure out how to get them.  It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

Ill bring a bunch of these, a few of my home-made flow-thru bait-tubes, a never-been-used float tube, and if I catch a decent rockfish soon, a few fish-print tee shirts.
