Another Great Day on the Water thanks to Eric and his sponsors. It's always fun to put faces to new screen names and hang out with good friends. Congratulations to the winners and everyone that got out to enjoyed another special day!

I have A damn Good time at Your tourney's Yak Hopper. And this one Was a blast. Thanks for the dogs and cold water/soda. a Much needed relief after fishing "The Wall" for two days. I would have loved to do more socailizing but after i heard those VHF's talking about 3 but's landed in 30 minutes you know i was right back on my yak< Going out as everyones coming in. I did a Whole lotta drifting. all for nada. I cant complain though. Any day out with the NCKA Brotherhood is sure to be a damn good time and this one was no different. I started the day by trying to keep up with the hobie O.G.'s O2B, RavensBlack,ChuckE, Jedmo, and avoiding flying banna peels  Im pumpin my prowler hard, for what seemed like hours, proud to just be keeping up when i look up to check Were the boyz are. Allen's eating a egg as he effortlessly peddals ahead and says "lets see you paddlers do this". Broke my whole spirit. Which is why i caught no fish. haha  . Great to see alot of Friends, Great to meet You To sledge! my new fishin buddy. Getting a little frustrated with the Hali's this year. But hey thats why its called fishin  A Special to thanx to Alshobieoutback,Uncle fishunter, Yakhopper for the bad ass event. Congrats to all the winners and those who just landed buts. Everytime on the water at a well orchistrated event like this is a win for me. Im sure im not the only one. but a 'but would be nice lol

For me It started last thur leaving @ 2;45am to meet BaitNbeer...after visiting with Lucky13 fri...who took me out to some great sushi @ his bro's Sushi Bristo...yummm thank u bro...  headed to walymart to get some gear...like 4am...head to the wall...no GPS and make a wrong turn which many have done I'm told... drive up and down thinking I can find it, how hard can it be...well 1/2 hr later I give Brdopry a text thinking maybe he's up...sat morn right...   low and behold he txt back asking what's up??? I say I can't find the place...well its 5:30ish and he Say's hang on I'll be right there!!!  ONLY in NCKA would u find somebody that will get out of bed and come show u where to go!!!  Thank U Brother!!!  so Kevin finds me takes me to mike's bait so I could get the correct gear...and than he calls his dad...MartianFish...and says lets go by my dads so we can get me a NCKA sticker for the back of my camper...pics to follow...Thank u sir!!!  and than I follow them down to the wall...and we walk out and I'm getting pointed out where to fish...in the end Brdopry says "just follow my dad around" like freaking glue...LOL...Martin thanks for all the Local knowledge u gave out so freely...Martian says "I come out here just to fish, if I catch something, well that's a bonus"..."I'm just the reverse...I come out here to CATCH and meeting all the people and seeing the sights are the bonus!!!"  see how I am... ... and shortly after his words...BAMB BABY...pics to follow...

Well Chad "ChevyDaze"? Sonny "sailfish" and myself get in some pre tourney fishing for no love...windy...I mean freaking 20 mph wind...took some photos checked some area's and called it...Sonny takes chad and me to Jack in the box...Great eats THANK YOU!!!  meet a couple guys down to chk out the wall before the tourney...u guys need a handle...I can remember those... great meeting u...I camp right in the parking lot...hear some noise @ 4am it's Hojman sp? jump out of my camper thinking it's Eric...we start talking the way us bothers do...than start rigging up going to try and beat the rush!!! Eric rolls in about 5;30ish I sign my release and head out...well I got my yak in the water first but "Insaneduane" starts out first...paddle all the way to the 2'nd wall out front of it and fish around not knowing what I'm doing but, with local knowledge thinking "HELL YES" I'm in the right place, kind of... got the right bait!!!  Come On Baby!!! No love...I made it out there by 6:30ish maybe quarter till...Duane is going way out and I start drifting back...talking to Martin he's at the opening between the 1'st and 2'nd wall...I work my way down to him and follow his son's instructions...LOL...were chatting away and he's telling be what he does and there IT IS ziggggnnnnggggggg  GAME ON!!! Got some pics of him adding shampoo....Congrats...WTFG!!!  Just like he called IT!!!  I'm 10 ft away thinking come on baby!!! well next time I'll go for the other stuff and the fish will follow...

Fished High and low...In between everywhere I could think of...got up early and didn't eat!!! went back in around 12:30 to grab some dogs reload on some liquids and back out...fishing with chad, jedmo, Dave...I ended up clear back to almost 30yrds of the waypoint i added when martin hooked that fish...and the waves were rocking...I mean I was really getting pounded...jedmo says there headed back and I roger that...I'm determined to catch a hali...so i work my way back to dock and jedmo and dave are saving a cold one for me and the most killer pork rinds I've every had...thank u bro...and I'm proud to say the only thing I caught that day was a really good BUZZZZ...heheh...

spend the night again thinking DAMIT I'm going to CATCH SOME BuTT!!!  woke up early and the winds howling...U Halibut fishermen got some way long Patience...hats off to u guys but man 2 days of fishing and not a single BUMP!!!  I know, I know...it's all about the journey....but I want a FISH>>>>

I find Martins house thx to the map he left me on my truck and Collect my bag of goodies...and scope out #1 prize booty!!!   WOW!!! Thanks Eric for calling my name and thx Martin for holding on to it....my first prize ever!!!  Also thx YakHopper for that 5 trays of frozen herring that will find it's way into some fish's mouth!!!  Because it didn't @ the WALL!!!

And we will SEE YOU ALL somewhere this SUMMER  "GET SOME" or Just meet some peeps...because it's ALL GOOD!!!  And Yes Fish Will Follow...just need to take MartianFish's lead...

Congrats on taking 1st brother!! From all the posts, this event was a blast. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to attend due to work. I look forward to meeting many of you in other upcoming events and get-togethers

No-pictures-it-never-happened? Bull!!! Just glad others did the clicking. Teamed/w Jed, was stunned to silence by the quick pm hookup. He preforms well on a full stomach. Thanks Eric, the whole event was very well done. Good the hat pass for our MVP did good, We all want the "Mooch" better and back. Get well soon, you're missed! I did not score but that's normal. Sledge whats up buddy? i told ya to stay with him and ya would get fish but NO ya went out early and messed it all up!! if ya would of stayed with him that would of been yer fish!! ya see hes old and paddles slow so ya would of been a few strokes ahead of him all day therefor yer bait would of bounced in front of mr. hali first ha ha ha next time sledge. ps hit me up when yer this way well go get em

All I could think of was "paddle to the end of the second wall" Man it's hard to sit and wait...nxt time i will listen closer...thx bro...I will PM ya...but BuTT fishing is another animal!!!   one I got to learn...and put in my time...the nxt time will be the 3rd  comes in 3's... trying to upload all the pics I took got a few of u and your dad...
