Hey everyone, I'm a newbie here at NCKA :smt006 & recently picked up a T140. Took it out on Saturday for the first time at Alameda Rock Wall with my coworker Insaneduane. We got on the water around 6:30AM, water was really calm and started to have a good feeling on the new yak. Was pretty comfortable and felt pretty quick. Anyways, we were using live bait (thanks Duane) and he had already showed me what to do and how to set the hook if I get a bite. Around 9AM I landed my first halibut  :fishing1 with Duane by me telling me what to do, measured 29". Was so excited cause I wasn't expecting to catch anything. An hour & a half later, I landed my second fish almost the same size I couldn't beleive this was happening. The sun came out and felt good enjoying the sun, next thing I see my rod tip bouncing. I fed some lines and waited a bit and fed it more, as it was taking more line I set the hook and fish on came my third halibut for the day. As it came up the water, man, another keeper almost same size as the first two. Grabbed my net  and took me 3 tries to get it in the net and finally had it in. Lifted my new net with the fish in it that I got from Outdoor Pro Shop and the it broke but I manged to get in my yak. I had a blast on Saturday but couldn't have done it without Duane  :beer3. I still have so much to learn and hopefully I'll learn plenty form this site. Great to mee everyone!

Wow, that about how many halibut I caught ALL LAST SEASON! :smt044

Congrats on the memorable day. Props to Duane for being thorough and instructive too, and putting you on the bite.

Nice work you guys!
