I will be camping with Michelle at Big Lagoon 6/10 - 6/13. Fingers are crossed for good weather for ab diving and spearing/fishing. Looking for advise and suggestions from the locals. Anyone free to hook up?

Keep us posted on your schedule as the time draws near.  I'd enjoy meeting you and that used-to-be-NewChick.   :smt002

It's graduation time for my nieces right around then, but I'll try to free up.

*bump* *bump*

Almost done packing. I will be there Thursday afternoon through Sunday. I am hoping to dive each day conditions permitting. Would love to hook up with anyone else in the area.

Thanks for  the suggestions on Trinidad and PP.

I am going to be on what I consider the way north part of the state at Big Lagoon, which is north of Trinidad and Eureka.

Wish I could make it over, haven't seen the salt in over a year!  Not to be this weekend, fish hard and be safe though!

Wish I could meet up with you but I'll be out of town this weekend.  I don't know what's up with summer this year but it just won't seem to get here and this upcoming weekend looks to be another blown-out, sloppy one.

In case it's too gnarly elsewhere, I've seen people spear-fishing at the South Jetty and doing pretty well.  A few weeks ago I got skunked while these 2 guys diving about 100 yards down from me cleaned up limits in like an hour.

The lagoons are fun to fish in, as well.  Freshwater would probably be my choice this time of year although I love to hit Stone super early in the morning for the (very) occassional cut-throat.

Have fun - looking forward to the report.

Not the reports I'm looking at.  Of course, every decent forecast we have had lately has not panned out.   :smt012
