First time kayak fishing with my son

Heard they finally did a private trout stock on our local lake so thought I would take my son out for his first time fishing from the kayak. We left a little late (10:00 am) so it wouldnt be too cold for him. We lost two small fish right at the kayak but we still had a fun time. He made it an hour before he started getting fidgety so we called it a day and I let him play on the beach for a bit. As soon as the water warms up I will take him after some bluegill here.

Arnold is that lake? I'll be up there again this year for my company golf tournament in June. No time to fish though only golf.

it's great that you're spending time with your son sharing your passion.
I bought a tandem 5 months ago to take my kids out but haven't done so yet.  Time for me to stop being selfish and get out there with the kids.  thx for sharing, and challenging me to get out there with my kids.

Thats exactly what he was doing!

i learned it when someone got stuck in the soft soil and all we had were paddles to dig with. 
he looks like he's having fun, we did not. 

These are moments your son will cherish forever. Keep doing it inspite of your busy schedule and never change.
