Hey all finally got some free time at work to type this report up. All I can say is what a weekend !!!!!! Well we had a 115 divers sign up for this event and had 100 divers in the water the day of the event ! we had a good female division going with 4 top qulity female divers and a couple of Jr competing as well. We had a totall of 6 abalone over ten inches come in to the comp with the biggest being brought in by Justin Smith with a 10.45. The other cool thing that happend was we had 3 diver's get there first tens just like last year we even had a father son team of Evan and Steve Jones get there first tens together that is way cool and then there is are so cal slaying sister Kelsey who got her first ten incher with a 10.12. One of the things that really stood out to me was the slectiveness the divers had with showing high eithics and standards to the fishery and the comp.  It really showed how the abalone diving comunity is steping up there game in my opion.  Out of 100 divers only 22 abalone were pulled and submitted ! true selective hunting ! we hit our goal for the money we raised over 5000 dollars for the sonoma county abalone network. So I would like to thank all the competors and there family's who came out and attended and  also all the great sponsor's who donated to this event with out you all this would not be what it was. thank you all.
