So we got there this morning at 7:30.  It was like a wind tunnel.  With frothy, brown water.  We stuck around for 15 minutes looking at the sloppy break that was cresting right over the reef.  A few years ago, I would have gone for it.  Today all I could think of was how cold it was outside.  So I want home.  Rockfish 1, Mcag 0.  But it's early.

Thanks for the update. You'll no doubt kill it next time as usual.

Good effort & good call on not going out. Perfect example of a foiled-attempt report.  :smt004

I had planned to join Mike and his buddy but Saturday morning my wife convinced me to take a bike ride down highway 25 from Hollister to the Pinnacles. An absolutely beautiful ride, but after 200 miles and getting hit in the face about 100 times by big, nasty bugs at 60 mph, I turned around and headed back to Super Taqueria in Hollister for lunch.

Got home about 3:00pm, took off my helmet and Donna says, "Oh Honey, go look at your face". I will NEVER forget to put on sunscreen again, and I hope my nose doesn't fall off. :smt011 Any more time in the sun would be a really bad idea....

On top of that, all the crap I needed to do this weekend had to get done Sunday.

Next time Mike!!!

Rich

Way to give it a try on RF openning day.  Thank you for the report Mike.
