The plan was to do some clamming then head over to doran for crabbing and drift for halibut but it was not meant to be.
Wind was howling by the time hamachi and I left the clam beds.  We still went over to Doran to see if it was doable but the wind would have pounded us over to the jetties.  We called it a day and I was home by 1pm. :smt003

All in all it was a nice day to get muddy.  :smt003
and have sashimi on the spot :smt007
Hamachi getting wet N dirty :smt001

Nice! Mirugai sashimi on the bar is choice!

How was the wind inside Tomales Bay?

I am planning on going tmrw and hope it will be doable on the yak. How come you guys didn't launch pots inside the bay? I saw a few dungeness in buckets off the pier last time. I plan on dropping a couple traps a hundred yards west of the peir to cut off all the landlocked crabbers!

You're making me hungry Allan. WTG on the clams fellas. Hey John, you should see Sonny whenever he digs for the clams. He's practically inside the tube to get into the big ones. :smt003

The clam sashimi looks delicious.  Did you guys usually peel the skin off the necks?

The wasabi in the yak is a nice touch. I think I'm gonna start packing the wasabi in the tubes and individual packs of soysauce, just in case. Congrats on the clams!
