Talked Rshu into showing up at Ferry Point with only swimbaits and sabikis....  :smt003

Supplied him with Wild Strom Anchovies and out we went... Got a couple tags on the swimbaits, but things were slow, Never tried to make bait out there so gave it a try today,

few and far between but did pick up some HUGE smelt, then Rshu found one of proper size, lost it... then got a nice shinner...

I'm still bouncing the Storm...  WHAM!!!!  Slamming my Bass Gear Good.... taking line...

Nice Fight... OH YA!!! Get To Color.....   Mud Marlin.....   :smt012

Saw Rshu get a Good Take down and Gone... PBer's seem to be doing OK to None...

Finally Found schools of shinners and Bait was easy, trying to find smaller ones was the trick...

Had our chances today but it just didn't stick, wind came up hard at 2:30....

Really Love this Launch, so Easy/Beautiful, and the price is right too.....   :smt003

Thanks for the report Don. I'm going to have to try that location soon.  We hit Paradise today with minimal success.  I think there were 8 yakkers.  Two Butts were caught and I got a nice fat Striper.  A great day to be on the water.  Reports will follow.  I was to tired to unload the car and download the pics.  Like the clean-up, I will get to the pics tomorrow.  Maybe some of the others will post tonight.

That's a walleye perch, BTW.

You said you like that spot and I can see why. Don't know that I would want to unbutton a flopping bat ray on a yak. Did you shake it loose at boatside?

Thanks for the pics. That's a cool old peir.

Just grab the Hook while she is in the water, usually comes out, Big ones get a bit tricky, but count on running into one if ya fish the bay. Never caught one on a swimbait though...

I'll put my word of Warning out again about this spot...

If ya stick around the pier area, no problem, but if you venture across the Harbor and out to The Hampton Shoals or towards the Red Rock, be on your game...

It's a Busy working Harbor with many BIG boats, and the Wind picks up hard here and changes direction at will with pretty Good Sized Swell...

I've had no problems with the parking lot and have seen East Bay Parks/ Richmond PD in the Area... So it seems safe....

  With That Good Luck...  :smt006

Nice fishing with you Danglin! Thank you for showing me your spot... Had a couple of bites but no hookups(except bait), but we'll get em next time. That was a nice fight you had with the ray though...
