I was actually in Tahoe and decided to check out Caples on the way out.. its going to be a while! Silver Lake also covered although outflow is open, Bear River Res. is icing out but not accessible yet, maybe another week or two.

 I was actually trying to hit Fallen Leaf while in Tahoe but the campground was still full of snow and I did not feel like paying $20 for a hotwash + boat launch fees at the marina. Tahoe was inviting but is was getting breezy.   :smt006

Thx for the update.  Just yesterday I inquired about the ice out at caples.  Beautiful, but unfishable for at least another month probably?

Caples in the winter...grrrrrrrrr...I hand augered 23 different holes while ice fishing there once for nada. :smt013
Junction is iced out but I think the gate is locked.
