wtg eliot! ishoulda joined you guys. I blanked at arw.

I'll give you a call next time Sharky. We were gonna hit paradise but changed our mind at the last minute. I can't go again for a few days but I'll give you a shout when I do.

I heard there was a ton of bait at the ARW they should be thick in there by now. Did you see any sign of the bait or do you think it's moved on?

Great job on the combo!! I'm thinkin if going for the same thing tomarrow.... Where were you guys fishing? Crab and Hali sound so good right now!

Jdub I've heard reports of people getting them from Monterey to Bodega already. Think rocks meet sand and try to find some clean water.  We got them on an incoming tide as well.

I know how you feel Jim. I blanked on the Halibut last year but I had to watch Tsuri catch 3 nice ones right next to me!

You'll get em this year Jim. I hear the bite goes off in capitola sometimes!

Could not be further from the truth! There's guys on here that catch 15 or 20 Halibut every year. This is my first one in two years. I'll let you know if I happen to get about 19 more. :smt002

Nice going Eliot. Do you like a particular tide? Does the tide influence when you fish with bait. I'm a newbie to bait fishing for Flatties on yaks. Thanks B.A.

I think some movement is good but I don't know wether an incoming or outgoing is better. The fish were biting on an outgoing last week at paradise but we hit them on an incoming at the coast so?

It seems like the tide moves the bait around a bit and gets the Halibut keyed into feeding mode. If you can catch them on lures you will kill them with bait. :smt001

Thanks Eliot. I really appreciate the tips on tide and bait. I'll see you out there sooner than later I hope.
